I saw in the teaser video released today that the trash and debris in the interiors are not removable, and I just thought I would be cool if there was a way we could remove all of the trash and have a way to clean/fixup interiors and have some nice early game living spaces before base building takes over.

Yes, this is a popular request, and definitely a +1 from me.
The more we can do in game to immerse ourselves the better, and my OCD also requires it, lol.
Some of plan to make/build and run settlements, and realistically of course we would clean up before during and after doing so.

I would love nothing more than to see this happen, but i think it's beyond the point of no return with the trash clean up. In the live Q&A they mentioned it and why it wasn't a thing. basically, the amount of time it would take to go back and remove said trash as a static object in the game and then turn it into an interactable asset ; would be detrimental to the development timeline.
I think the most realistic thing we can hope for is that if they produce new maps or additions to the original map ; they will keep this very popular suggestion in mind.
